From Bali, cross to the west coast of Lombok to find a tiny magical island called Gili Air. Once there, Coconut Cottages would like to warmly welcome you to this tropical paradise. Surrounded by clear blue water, coral reefs and colorful tropical marine life, Gili Air is the perfect place for you to relax and chill out on white sand beaches and get back in tune with nature strolling barefoot along the waters edge. The long days with blue skies and warm evenings with epic sunsets are here for you to rejoice in.

There are no cars or motorbikes on the island... only the sound of birds calling, waves lapping and the tinkling bells of the horsecarts.

Each of our cottages enjoys its own privacy, nestled among the flowers and trees of the garden. The colourful Bougainvillea and Hibiscus, Flame trees and Tea trees and the beautifully perfumed Frangipani and Jasmine flowers all contribute to the magical experience of your stay.
Over the years Coconut has evolved slowly which means that each of our cottages have been built in different styles which makes for a nice village atmosphere. All have been constructed by local builders with local materials to Kamils designs. We have both air-conditioned or fan cooled cottages and all come with mosquito nets, sheeted bedding and towels for use in the rooms. Each cottage has its own veranda equipped with a comfortable bamboo couch and the essential hammock.

Jasmine Cottages
Our air-conditioned cottages, with a fan option, are elevated for you to enjoy your outlook over the garden. These comfortable rooms are built in traditional styles made from bamboo, hard woods and stone with Javanese terracotta roof tiles. Inside includes a king size bed with reading light and mosquito net. En suite washroom with hot water shower, flush toilet and wash hand basin.

Hibiscus Cottages
Typical island cottages made from hard woods, lined with bamboo, featuring alang alang grass roofs, also elevated for lovely outlook and privacy. Inside, the rooms are fan cooled and include a king sized bed with reading light and mosquito net. En suite washroom with hot water shower, flush toilet and wash hand basin.
Pepaya Cottages
A lodge style cottage consisting of 2 seperate rental rooms. Each room has a king size bed, fan, mosquito net, bedside reading light. En suite washroom with hot water shower, flush toilet, wash hand basin. Verandah with bambu couch and hammock.
Merdeka Family Cottage

This simple stone cottage is situated at the back of our property in its own garden and comprises of one bedroom with one double and one single bed, and a small room with one single bed. The washroom has a flush toilet and cold-water shower.

The Frangipani Garden Restaurant
While the whole eating experience on Gili Air is a delight with many restaurants located at the waters edge it’s also nice to retreat to the pretty setting of our Frangipani Restaurant, so called because of the abundance of frangipani that grow around the garden. Sitting on your own private beruga (little platform) amidst the chirruping birds and noisy ghekos, vegetarians and carnivores alike can enjoy a variety of foods.

We can offer you Indonesian and local food such as freshly grilled fish, ayam pelecing, gado gado, tempe, tahu, nasi goreng, chicken and vegetable curries all freshly prepared and flavoured, hot or not, as you like it, with tasty spices, tamarind or coconut milk.
Also on offer are some European favourites such as bruschetta, pastas, homemade burgers, chicken fillet, salads and french baguettes with various fillings.

Breakfast is served in the Frangipani Restaurant each morning including a thick Lombok coffee or a refreshing rose tea, a fresh tropical fruit salad and either one of our now famous banana pancakes or a tasty toastie. A great way to start your day!

ROOM RATE:

All rates Exclude breakfast and 25% government tax. They do not include also Lunch, Evening Tea Break and Pick up service from Bangsal Airport.

Rates are based on two people sharing a cottage. For a third person sharing (other than the Merdeka Cottage) there is an additional charge of rp60.000 per night for bed and breakfast.

Located on the East coast close to Ozzy shop and Yan’s Bookshop. Simple thatched bungalows, cold water, affordable.

•Gita Gili
Located on the East coast between Yan’s Bookshop and Dream Divers. Bamboo and thatch bungalows. Cold water, fan rooms. 60,000rp per night.

•Gusung Indah

Located on the NE coast north of Blue Marlin. Very affordable place with choice of budget rooms. Cold water.

Located inland on the East coast. Affordable cottages with cold water.

Located on the East coast offering bamboo / thatch bungalows, with cold water.

•Sunrise
Located on the SE coast just back from the beach. Moderately priced lumbung rice barn style rooms. Great views, Cold water and fan.

• Nusa Tiga
Located slightly inland, on the SE coast. Simple bungalows, attached bathroom, cold water.

• Matahari
Located on the north coast, you will have a long trek to get to the main centers of activity, but for people wanting peace and quiet, this could be it. On the beach, decent quality, cold water.

• Legend
Located on the NE coast, has attached warung, simple rooms. The warung has a once a week party.

• Hotel Gili Indah
Located on the south coast, to the west of the ferry launch, has a variety of room grades. AC / hot water (300,000rp per night) available. Fan / cold water 150,000rp per night.

Most of the accommodation on Gili Air is in the budget category. Getting through by phone can be difficult as numbers may change, especially when its cell phone number.
