Gili Air Santay is a quiet and relaxing
place. You can find us directly at the beautiful sandy beach
on the east coast of Gili Air, surrounded by tropical garden
with plenty of coconut palm trees and all different kind’s
of flowers.
Gili Air Santay is family run, owned by a buginese family
from south Sulawesi Island.
Andy Aka and his Austrian wife Rosi Dobler, as well the
whole staff welcomes you warmly.

The Island: Gili Air
Gili Air is one of the three Gili Islands
and the nearest to Lombok. You can get there in 20 minutes
by boat. There are no cars and motorbikes on the island
which makes it a very calm, quiet and peaceful place with
pure tropical nature and fresh air.
 The
gardens are packed with tropical flowers, coconut palm trees
and all different kinds of birds. The only means of
transport are Cidomos, horse drawn carriages. In one hour
you can walk around the Island, bicycle rentals are
available too.
Gili Air offers wide sandy beaches, blue clear water,
beautiful coral reefs and colorful tropical marine life. The
marine diversity is said to be higher than at the world
famous Great Barrier Reef, which makes the Gili Islands a
spectacular snorkeling and diving spot.
We also have nice swimming area’s where you can relax at the
beach and the children have room to play around.
The Santay Bungalows
Gili Air Santay has 10 bungalows in 5
different categories. They are all built in traditional
Indonesian – Sulawesi style surrounded by a tropical garden
with plenty of coconut palm trees and different kinds of
tropical flowers.
All bungalows have a big balcony with a hammock, relaxing
area and have a bathroom, bamboo furniture, fan and mosquito
net.
Payment: Possible with Visa and Master card. Charge 5 % from
the amount you have to pay.
The Restaurant
Gili Air Santay Restaurant is famous for
its delicious Indonesian, Sasak, Thai and European food. We
have a superb selection of fresh fish and seafood.
Everything is cooked fresh, as you can see in our open
kitchen.
Our Restaurant is located directly at the beautiful sandy
beach from where you have a stunning view to Lombok and the
volcano Mt. Rinjani.
